|Thank you Brother James Snyder!
|I would like to take a moment to reflect on my 9 years as an executive Board
4 years as Vice General Chairman and 5 years as your General Chairman.
I will begin by thanking all of you for the opportunity to serve; it was truly an honor to
hold these positions. I wish the new Executive Board continued success in all their
endeavors. I thank Brother Santos, Brother Realbuto, Brother Reilly and Brother
Kateridge for all their assistance during my tenure. Their untiring resolve and
commitment to our Organization enabled me and all of us to shine. Also a special
thanks to all the Committeemen, who are the foundation of IRSA, as well as all who
pitch in, in many different ways, to support the Executive Boards efforts and to
advance the goals of the Organization.
As the new Board moves forward, I pledge my full support and will always be
available to assist in their work. I ask You, The Members, to please stay involved,
keep a close eye on your surroundings, and reach out an open hand to fellow Labor
Organizations, as we together remain vigilant in our never ending fight against the

|A message from Former General Chairman James Snyder
|Highlights of Brother Jimmy Snyder's tenure as IRSA Board Member
- Brother Snyder accepted the position of General Chairman when
Brother Andrew Mcdonald retired early.
-He oversaw what has been described as "contentious contract negotiations".
-Helped secure an agreement that benefit the members, even in a nationwide
environment that saw Labor unions lose ground or absorb major givebacks.
-During this difficult time Jimmy maintained and advanced a cooperative
relationship with the Carrier while standing firm in his commitment to IRSA .
-He represented IRSA at negotiations and while giving testimony before the NLRB
and National Mediators - exuding competence, intelligence and grace while
steadfastly adhering to facts and following prescribed negotiation procedures.
- Worked with the Carrier to secure added Gang Formen positions.
-Dedicated much personal time to represent IRSA at rallies and at meetings in DC.
-Improved our relationship with Representatives of other Labor Groups.
